The R&D in mining, geosciences, environment and fuel engineering is facing a computational challenge to deal with the large scale problems of the real world. This Super-Computing Centre (SCC) will enable the researchers to simulate, optimize, forecast, and design large scale mining, geosciences and fuel engineering problems taking into account of the all geological and geo-technical details, in mine-scale, which otherwise is impossible to perform on desktop computational tools.
The mandate of this division is to facilitate the researchers to utilise this super-computing facility for complex modeling and simulation for benchmark research in mining and fuel sciences.
